Montrose / Del Amo Groundwater Cleanup Construction Project

EPA is overseeing construction work by Montrose to install extraction wells, reinjection wells and pipelines in Torrance, California and to build a groundwater treatment system at the Montrose property. The work began on March 18, 2013. The overall construction project includes over 5 miles of pipeline and a one million gallon per day groundwater treatment plant, and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2014. This project is a major part of the cleanup of contaminated groundwater in the area.
