Revitalizing Old Maui High

The front steps of historic Old Maui High School
Hard work pays off. A beautiful shot of the newly restored Old Maui High.

In September 2007, Old Maui High was the site of a reunion of the classes 1913-1972. It brought more than 1,500 alumni and their families together.

The new facilities are scheduled to open by 2013, just in time for the Centennial Celebration! Friends of Old Maui High hopes it will "keep the Patsy Mink dream alive- focusing on environmental quality of life, education, and equality." As a result of such a vision, Old Maui High has been saved from demolition, and both the community and the environment are benefiting from its revitalization.
