Databases and Information Access

Envirofacts Data Warehouse retrieves environmental information from EPA databases on Superfund sites, drinking water, toxic and air releases, hazardous waste and Biennial Reporting System data, water discharge permits, and grants information. Use online queries to retrieve data or generate maps of environmental information by choosing from several mapping applications available through EPA's Maps On Demand.

BRS: the Biennial Reporting System is a national system that collects data on the generation, management, and minimization of hazardous waste. BRS includes detailed data on the generation of hazardous waste from large quantity generators and data on waste management practices from treatment, storage and disposal facilities.

Enforcement and Compliance History Online (ECHO) is used to determine whether compliance inspections have been conducted at specific facilities by either EPA or State/local governments. It gives results of inspections including whether violations were detected and any enforcement actions taken or penalties assessed in response to the violation.

EnviroMapper is a Web-based interactive mapping tool for viewing and querying environmental information. This application allows users to zoom in to an area, or enter a state, county, city, ZIP code, or watershed to view environmental data from EPA's Envirofacts Warehouse.

The RCRA Online database is designed to enable users to locate documents, including publications and other outreach materials that cover a wide range of RCRA issues and topics.

The RCRA FAQs database enables users to search frequently asked questions or submit their own question or comment on a variety of RCRA issues and topics.
