The forecast for summer savings is looking up! Since the program’s beginning in 2006, WaterSense labeled products have helped consumers save a total of $8.9 billion in water and energy bills and 487 billion gallons of water. Our Summer 2013 edition of The Current highlights these savings accomplishments and offers simple water–efficient tips to help you add to these numbers as temperatures rise and drought threatens. We've caught up with the first-place winner of the Water–Smart Landscape Photo Contest, Gino Piscelli, to find out about the benefits of water-smart landscapes and what homeowners should look for when creating their own. We also highlight how making improvements in managing a commercial landscape in Texas saved more than 12 million gallons in a year. In addition, this edition features two Partner Profiles on American Standard and KB Home to showcase their water–efficient efforts.

The WaterSense Current: Issue XXVI, Spring 2013

The verdict is in and it’s agreed: “Wasting Water is Weird”! The Spring 2013 Current highlights this PSA campaign by three–time WaterSense Partners of the Year and discusses great ways to conserve water as we enter into Earth Month and outdoor season. The WaterSense Current: Issue XXIV, Fall 2012
