What information do these maps display?
This interactive map shows the locations of select sources of organic waste and potential users in the Pacific Southwest. Facilities include both those that generate or collect significant quantities of organic waste, and those that can anaerobically digest that waste and create biogas. PLEASE CONTACT THE FACILITIES DIRECTLY FOR SPECIFIC INFORMATION ON SERVICES AND MATERIALS PROVIDED AND TO VERIFY LOCATIONS. Contact information is available in pop-up bubbles for each facility once you have performed a search (see Instructions).
What are the limitations of interactive maps?
Interactive mapping tools are a challenge for accessibility due to the inherent visual aspects of mapping. These maps cannot be made fully accessible under Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (as amended in 1998). For further assistance, please email the Biogas Map Team (biogasmap@epa.gov). In addition, EPA does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the information nor have we assessed the qualifications of the organizations listed.

Both facilities that generate significant quantities of organic waste and those seeking that waste will find value in this tool.
How can I get additional information on particular facility?
To display information about a particular site, either click on one of the facilities listed in the search results or use your mouse to hover over one of the icons to launch a pop-up balloon on the map.
