Elections for Region 9 Tribal Caucus 2017-2019

The Regional Tribal Operations Committee is soliciting nominations for representatives to serve on the Committee for the October 2017 to September 2019 term.

The RTOC is a working committee of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 9 and Federally Recognized Tribes in Arizona, California, and Nevada. The RTOC is co-chaired by the Director of the EPA Region 9 Land Division and an RTOC Tribal Representative selected by the Tribal Caucus. All tribes within Region 9 are members of the RTOC, but for organizational purposes, tribal leaders in each geographic area within the Region will nominate and later elect RTOC tribal representatives from the Tribal Caucus, as described in the RTOC Charter. This page will provide the election materials and updates on the election as we move through the process.

Tribal leaders may nominate a representative from your tribe or from another tribe in your area. Please ensure your nomination is returned to the EPA Region 9 by December 15, 2016. You may return the form by email (preferred) or regular mail, as detailed on the form.

Following receipt of nominations, formal ballots will be sent out by January 20, 2015. Ballots will be tallied and results will be announced by EPA Region 9 at the Spring RTOC meeting, scheduled for April 18-20, 2017 in San Francisco.

If you have any questions, please contact Kate Fenimore (fenimore.anna@epa.gov) at (415) 972-3418.

We look forward to hearing from you by December 15, 2016.
