Final Rule for Gasoline Spark-Ignition Marine Engines; Exemptions for New Nonroad Compression-Ignition Engines at or Above 37 Kilowatts and New Nonroad Spark-Ignition Engines at or Below 19 Kilowatts
Rule Summary
EPA is regulating exhaust emissions from new spark-ignition (SI) marine engines for the first time. These standards apply for outboard engines, personal watercraft engines, and jet boat engines. This rule also adds a national security exemption for Nonroad Compression-Ignition (CI) and Small SI sectors.
