Section 610 of the Regulatory Flexibility Act (RFA) requires that federal agencies review each rule that has or will have a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small entities (SISNOSE) within ten years of publication of the final rule. EPA initiates a Section 610 review in order to determine if the provisions of a rule that are related to small entities should be continued without change, rescinded, or amended to minimize adverse economic impacts on small entities.

The table below lists Section 610 reviews in chronological order from the date they were begun or may begin. The first two columns of the table below provide the citation and link for the appropriate Federal Register notice starting and concluding the review. Where available, use the Regulation Identifier Number (RIN) after each citation to locate the appropriate entry. The third column lists the title of the rule that was reviewed. If the same rule also involved a Small Business Advocacy Review (SBAR) Panel, you will be able to click on the title to access more information. If the projected start date of a review contains an asterisk (*), that rule is subject to more than one retrospective review requirement (e.g., a Safe Drinking Water Act 6-year review or a Clean Air Act risk and technology review) and multiple retrospective reviews may be coordinated whenever practicable.
