There are several logos that are required or that pesticide companies can add to their labels with EPA approval. The requirements and process vary, so review the guidance carefully before applying to add a logo to a product label. See Chapter 16 of the Label Review Manual for details.

• Bee advisory box --  we are changing pesticide labels so they better protect bees by being clearer and more precise in their directions for pesticide application. The revised labels include specific limits such as “Do not apply this product while bees are foraging. Do not apply this product until flowering is complete and all petals have fallen ….” A bee icon is included in the box to help draw attention to it.
• Design for the Environment (DfE) antimicrobial product pilot -- understand and get involved in the antimicrobial pesticide Design for the Environment pilot program as well as find products that are approved to use the logo on the label.
• Design for the Environment (DfE) biopesticide pilot -- understand and get involved in the biopesticide Design for the Environment pilot program as well as find products that are approved to use the logo on the label.
• Globally harmonized system for classification and labeling of chemicals -- EPA has been involved in some aspects of the the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals, which is a worldwide initiative to promote standard criteria for classifying chemicals according to their health, physical and environmental hazards.

• Pictograms for total release fogger labels -- EPA has pre-approved certain pictograms for use on total release fogger products. For use to qualify as pre-approved, the pictograms may not be altered in any way, with the exception of increasing the image size. 
• Repellency awareness graphic -- is intended to help consumers easily identify the repellency time for mosquitos and ticks. Use of the graphic by manufacturers will be voluntary and available for qualifying companies. EPA will review products that apply to use the graphic to ensure that their scientific data meet current testing protocols and standard evaluation practices.
