Navajo Nation: Cleaning Up Abandoned Uranium Mines

Current and Previous Five-Year Plans

Cover of the 2014 Federal Actions to Address Impacts of Uranium Contamination in the Navajo Nation

In 2008, five federal agencies developed a coordinated Five-Year Plan to address uranium contamination in consultation with Navajo Nation EPA (NNEPA). The plan was updated in 2014 to build on the work done in first five years and to address the most significant risks to human health and the environment.

The documents below are the current (2014) and the previous (2008) Five-Year Plans to address uranium contamination, as well as factsheets and progress reports.
