Motor vehicle air conditioning (MVAC) systems provide passenger comfort cooling for cars, trucks, buses, and rail vehicles. MVAC-like appliances do the same for off-road vehicles, such as agricultural, mining, and construction equipment. Servicing of these systems is regulated under section 609 of the Clean Air Act.
