La Agencia de Protección Ambiental de EE.UU. (EPA, por sus siglas en inglés) firmó un acuerdo en marzo con la Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Co. para limpiar la vía pública en la calle Sangamon. El sitio, que está en una zona residencial, se limita a la vía pública de BNSF entre la calle 16 al norte y la calle 21 al sur. La obra de este verano es en la porción de la vía entre las calles 18 y 21 adyacente al este de la acera y la calle Sangamon.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency signed an agreement in March with the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Co. to clean up the Sangamon Street Right of Way site. The site is limited to BNSF’s right of way, which is in a residential area between 16th Street to the north and 21st Street to the south. The work that begins this summer is on the portion between 18th Street and 21st Street east of and adjacent to Sangamon Street and a sidewalk.
