Project Matching Initiative
Objective
The Green Power Partnership's (GPP's) Project Matching Initiative works to connect green power users with new, not-yet-built renewable energy projects that may align with their energy, environmental, and financial objectives.
Goal
This initiative's goal is to spur the development of new renewable generation by facilitating the engagement of green power users with not-yet-built renewable energy projects, signing long-term off-take agreements (e.g., power purchase agreements [PPAs]), taking a direct investment position in the project, or through other involvement.
To help achieve this goal, the GPP hosts intermittent webinars that feature five to eight short project presentations from renewable energy developers and a Q&A session. Developers discuss project details, business models, and project engagement opportunities for Green Power Partners and other interested organizations. Following each webinar, attendees can indicate if they wish to receive additional information on selected developer presentations.
Project matching webinars were hosted in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2016.
Project Submissions
Developers interested in submitting a not-yet-built project that has a clear role for GPP stakeholders can do so using the following application form:
2016 Project Proposal Submittal Form(3 pp, 30 K)
The GPP will accept complete project applications on a rolling basis, but will not consider or accept incomplete applications.
Project Matching Table
The following table represents projects submitted and found to meet the minimum project readiness criteria. The GPP reviews all project applications and evaluates them based on their readiness for construction, as well as for the role that the developer is seeking to fill through GPP stakeholder involvement. Developers are welcome to resubmit projects if they are determined to be viable.
EPA's GPP provides all project-related information as a service to EPA Green Power Partners. A renewable energy project's inclusion on this page does not constitute endorsement or recommendation by EPA of the projects or the stakeholders involved.
