Guide to purchasing green power brochure The Guide to Purchasing Green Power provides current and potential buyers of green power with information about green power purchasing. The Guide includes information about the different types of green power products, the benefits of green power purchasing, and how to capture the greatest benefit from your purchase. The Guide is the product of a cooperative effort between the EPA, the U.S. Department of Energy, the World Resources Institute, and the Center for Resource Solutions.

Green Power Partnership overview brochureThe Green Power Partnership Overview is a one page document that provides a brief overview of the Green Power Partnership. It includes information about how to join the Partnership, benefits available to Partners, and examples of how to promote your organization's green power leadership.

Partnership Agreement coverThe Partnership Agreement is available in both MS Excel and PDF formats. Organizations must complete the Agreement and either email or fax it to EPA to join the Partnership. Partners need to provide company information--including a primary and communications contact information--as well as basic information about their green power use. Please note, in response to the automated message that appears upon opening the Partnership Agreement in MS Excel, you will need to enable macros (the macro contained in the file is safe and has been third-party verified).

Green Power Partner Partnership Agreement

Partnership RequirementsThe Partnership Requirements document provides detailed information about the Green Power Partnership's program requirements, including organization, resource, and product eligibility; minimum purchase requirements; new renewables requirements; vintage requirements; participation definitions; and reporting requirements.

Partner Yearly ReportThe Green Power Partner Yearly Reporting Form (XLS)(1 pg, 489 K) is a form that Partners can use to update their green power usage information. Partners will receive a Partner Yearly Report from their assigned account manager on the anniversary of their Partnership or the anniversary date of their last purchase data update, whichever is most recent. The report will include the purchase information on record—Partners need only confirm or update the information. Please note, in response to the automated message that appears upon opening the Yearly Report, you will need to enable macros (the macro contained in the file is safe and has been third-party verified).

GPP Mark Use GuidelinesThe Partner Mark Use Guidelines outline how Green Power Partners should use the Partner mark in promoting their Partnership with EPA. (In all cases, please notify EPA when using the Partner mark.)

Green Power Partners markThe Partner Mark is available to EPA Green Power Partners. Partners must ensure that the Partner mark is used within the requirements outlined in the Partner Mark Use Guidelines. (In all cases, please notify EPA when using the Partner mark.)

Green Power Community Documents

Green Power Community BrochureThe Green Power Communities Brochure provides basic information about GPP's Green Power Communities (GPCs). The brochure includes information about how to become a GPC, the benefits of green power purchasing, and examples of how current GPCs are using green power to fight climate change and meet environmental and sustainability goals.

GPC Road Signs: Use & Reproduction Guidelines coverThe EPA Green Power Community Road Signs: Use & Reproduction Guidelines provides guidance on the correct use and display of EPA Green Power Community road signs. This document also includes sign reproduction guidelines, should a community wish to reproduce signs for additional display within the boundaries of the municipality.

GPC Partnership Agreement coverThe Green Power Community Partnership Agreement (XLS)(1 pg, 496 K) is the form that a community's authorized official must complete and email to EPA to join the Partnership. Community Partners need to provide contact information as well as information on community-wide electricity use and collective voluntary green power use. Please note that the municipal government must join the Partnership prior to the community joining as a GPC. The municipal government must meet all requirements outlined in the standard Partnership Agreement and submit the Agreement to EPA.
