The Lake Michigan Mass Balance Study measured and modeled the concentrations of representative pollutants within important compartments of the Lake Michigan ecosystem. Objectives of the study were to:
- Estimate pollutant loading rates,
- Establish a baseline to guage future porgress
- Predict the benefits associated with load reductions, and
- Further undersatnd ecosystm dymanics.
