Global Mitigation of Non-CO2 Greenhouse Gases, 2010-2030
Non-carbon dioxide (CO2) greenhouse gases, such as methane, nitrous oxide, and fluorinated greenhouse gases, are significant contributors to climate change. In some cases, reducing non-CO2 emissions can have a more rapid effect on the climate and be more cost-effective than reducing CO2 emissions.
The EPA technical report Global Mitigation of Non-CO2 Greenhouse Gases: 2010–2030 provides a comprehensive global economic analysis on the costs of technologies to reduce these gases, and the potential to reduce them by sector and region.
