How to report Attest Engagements

Reporting Deadlines Announced for RFS reporters

On December 14, 2015, EPA published the final rule establishing:
  • The Renewable Fuel Standards for the years 2014 to 2017
  • The annual compliance reporting requirements for RFS Obligated Parties for the years 2013, 2014, and 2015; and
  • The attest engagement deadlines for all RFS participants for the years 2013, 2014, and 2015.

Below is a step-by-step process for submitting attest engagements per Title 40 CFR Part 80 Subpart F.

Follow these steps to report.

STEP 1: Determine whether the submitter has access to report.

A user must be registered and assigned the proper roles to submit attest engagements.

STEP 2: Determine deadlines.

Attest engagements are submitted annually.

STEP 3: Read general instructions for all attest engagements.

Title 40 CFR Part 80 Subpart F contains attest procedures related to the qualifications of the attest auditor, applicable definitions, guidelines for sample sizes, and reporting and record retention requirements.

STEP 4: Read program-specific instructions.

In addition to the general instructions, each program has specific instructions.
