EPA's "Compendia of Next Generation Compliance Examples" present examples of how Next Generation Compliance approaches have been implemented in the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), Clean Air Act (CAA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and various cleanup programs. These compendia allow EPA and states to share information about Next Generation Compliance in practice today, and should help environmental regulators to think creatively about how Next Generation Compliance can achieve environmental benefits in the water, air, waste, and cleanup programs.
We expect to periodically update the compendia with new examples and welcome suggestions from EPA, states, tribes and local governments who are using these new tools. Please send proposed examples for:
