Waste

The TX/NM/CHIH Waste Task Force members comprise a diverse group of stakeholders including hazardous waste management staff, environmental managers from the maquiladora industry, consulting engineers, academia, government and non-government organizations in the Paso del Norte Region (West Texas, Southern New Mexico & Northern Chihuahua). The Task Force provides a forum for local stakeholders to identify regional waste issues and needs, participate in waste related initiatives, work to further the understanding of the relationship between the regional generation of waste and proper waste management strategies and, where possible, promote sustainable strategies for beneficial use of selected waste materials.
