Water Quality Standards Regulations: Pueblo of Picuris

Presented below are water quality standards in effect for Clean Water Act (CWA) purposes for this tribe.

EPA is posting these standards as a convenience to users and has made a reasonable effort to assure their accuracy. Also, for each document listed under "Tribe Standards in Effect for CWA Purposes", EPA has made a reasonable effort to identify parts of the standards that are disapproved or are otherwise not in effect for CWA purposes.

Authority to Administer Standards Program

This tribe was granted treatment in a manner similar to a state (TAS) on August 7, 1995.

Tribe Standards in Effect for CWA Purposes

The tribe’s initial water quality standards were approved on August 7, 1995. The new procedures for rulemaking (Section VII.) are not water quality standards and EPA thus takes no action on them under CWA §303(c). In addition, EPA has not taken action on the new narrative and numeric provisions requiring maintenance of minimum stream flow (Section III. Part Q and Section IV. Parts 2 A, B, C and G). EPA will fully evaluate these provisions upon submittal of additional information on implementation.

Federally Proposed or Promulgated Standards
