Engineering and Analysis Division

• Developing effluent limitation guidelines and standards applicable to industrial dischargers (i.e., for discharges to both surface waters and to POTWs).
• Writing regulations that define “secondary treatment” requirements for POTWs.
• Conducting economic and statistical analysis studies and analyses in support of water pollution control programs.

Health and Ecological Criteria Division

• Developing and refining risk and exposure assessment methodologies.
• Providing risk assessment support for Office of Water programs.
• Developing human health and ecological risk methodologies, criteria documents, guidance, and policies.
