Overview of the SmartWay Verification Process for Low Rolling Resistance (LRR) Tires and Retread Technologies for Tractors or Trailers
NOTE
Due to the complexity of the verification process, EPA cannot guarantee specific time frames for completion. However, manufacturers can expedite the process by providing immediate, accurate, and complete responses to all EPA inquiries.
The SmartWay Verification Program evaluates the ability of LRRs to reduce resistance and improve fuel economy or emissions for Class 8 tractor-trailers.
Please complete this process for each tire model that you would like verified.
