1/19/2017: Joint Advisory Committee (JAC) for the Improvement of Air Quality in the Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua/El Paso, Texas/Doña Ana County, New México Air Basin.

At this meeting of the U.S.-Mexico Border 2020 Program, the Texas-New Mexico-Chihuahua Regional Workgroup will discuss its progress in improving the air quality in the Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua/El Paso, Texas/Doña Ana County, New Mexico Air Basin. 

The U.S.-Mexico Border 2020 Program emphasizes regional, bottom-up approaches for decision making, priority setting, and project implementation to address the environmental and public health problems in the border region. The program encourages meaningful participation from communities and local stakeholders.  You may participate from either of these two locations:

1/19/2017: Promotora Training -- "Asthma and the Tobacco Quit Line App"

At this meeting of the U.S.-Mexico Border 2020 Program, the Texas-New Mexico-Chihuahua Regional Workgroup will present training for Promotoras, who have been lay Hispanic/Latino community members who receive specialized training to provide basic health education in the community without being professional health care workers.  Those who complete the training will be provided 2 Certified CEUs and 2 Non-certified CEUs.

2/1/2017: Texas-New Mexico-Chihuahua Regional Workgroup Environmental Education Taskforce Public Meeting

The objectives of this meeting of the Environmental Education Taskforce are to:

  • Discuss new environmental education priorities and projects,
  • Share information on projects by Partners and/or funded by the Border 2020 Program, and
  • Work on the two year (2017- 2018) action plan.

At this meeting of the U.S.-Mexico Border 2020 Program, the stakeholders of the Texas-New Mexico-Chihuahua Regional Workgroup will discuss the progress of binational projects, regional topics of interest, and priority issues.
