• About Superfund Remedy and Non-Time-Critical Removal Action (NTCRA) Decision Making

  These web pages provide Superfund remedial project managers (RPMs) and other EPA staff with links to key EPA Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation (OSRTI) guidance and other related documents used frequently during the Superfund decision-making process. These documents may also provide useful information for sites cleaned up under other authorities such as the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).

  Superfund response actions are categorized as either removal actions – emergency, time-critical or non-time-critical – or remedial actions. In general, remedial actions are longer-term response actions. This Web page provides information to inform the selection of both removal and remedial actions.
