Laconia requested technical assistance from EPA's Smart Growth Implementation Assistance Program to encourage investment and development in three neighborhoods centers while maintaining its small-town charm. Laconia needed help implementing its 2007 Master Plan, including neighborhood-specific technical tools and policies. EPA's team of consultants studied development patterns, codes and regulations, and market conditions in Laconia.
