Clean, Green, and Healthy Schools Regional Highlights
The Clean, Green and Healthy Schools initiative began in FY2012 in order to create healthier school environments for children. Through collaboration between EPA, local community partners and school stakeholders, Clean, Green, and Healthy Schools supports school coordinators in each region to help them reach school decision makers and promote this initiative within their communities.
Clean, Green, and Healthy Schools Regional Highlights seeks to showcase some of the exceptional school environmental health projects within each of EPA’s ten regions. These success stories range from work in local schools, to building partnerships with community organizations, to influencing policy at the state level. Each success story highlights just some of the extensive work that each region is doing on behalf of children’s environmental health in schools. Also, they illustrate tangible health benefits and cost savings realized through work within the regions.
