Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) Exit

The River Raisin Public Advisory Council formed in 2003 to assist MDEQ staff on all phases of the Remedial Action Plan project. Membership consists of citizens representing a wide range of interests such as local government, businesses, industries and environmental groups. The PAC has initiated a number of activities to benefit not only the AOC, but the entire River Raisin watershed.

The River Raisin Watershed Council is a nonprofit organization that works to educate the public on the many values of River Raisin. The council provides many opportunities for residents, especially students, to get involved with the issues surrounding water quality. Over the years, RRWC has passed new bylaws, formed new policies and developed new partnerships.
