Under National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit number MT-0030783, Westmoreland Resources, Inc. is authorized to discharge mine drainage from 24 outfalls associated with the Absaloka Mine South Extension near Hardin, Big Horn County, Montana, on the Crow Indian Reservation to the Middle Fork of Sarpy Creek and to unnamed ephemeral tributaries of Sarpy Creek.
