Hazardous Waste Management System - Removal of Strontium Sulfide From the List of Hazardous Waste - Federal Register Notice, February 25, 1991

EPA is correcting an amendment to regulations under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) to remove strontium sulfide (CAS No. 1314-96-1) from 40 CFR 261.33, the list of commercial chemical products which are hazardous wastes when discarded or intended to be discarded; and to remove strontium sulfide from Appendix VIII of Part 261, the list of RCRA hazardous constituents.

EPA took regulatory action to remove this chemical on October 31, 1988 (53 FR 43881), but the amendatory instruction to the Federal Register was incorrect and, as a result, this chemical was not removed from § 261.33 or part 261 appendix VIII in the Code of Federal Regulations. The Agency seeks to correct this error in today's document.
