Tribal Pesticide Program Council Meeting – June 21-22, 2016

The Tribal Pesticide Program Council (TPPC) will meet on June 21-22, 2016, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., (Mountain Standard Time) in Flagstaff, Arizona. Tentative agenda topics include a presentation on the Navajo Nation Pesticide Program; updates on regional tribal activities; and discussions on the following topics:

  • Progress on pollinator protection efforts
  • Input on a joint strategy for addressing bed bugs
  • Enforcement issues in Indian country
  • IPM in tribal low income housing, and
  • Updating the TPPC policy and procedures

The TPPC is a tribal technical resource and program and policy development dialogue group focused on pesticide issues and concerns. It is composed of authorized representatives from federally recognized tribes, Indian nations, and intertribal organizations. The two-day meeting will be held at the Twin Arrows Navajo Casino & Resort, located at 22181 Resort Blvd., in Flagstaff, Arizona.
