Public Notice: Intent to Partially Delete North Penn Area 6 Superfund Site from National Priorities List, Lansdale, PA, PAD980926976

Publish Date: 12/23/2016

Summary

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announces its intention to partial delete the North Penn Area 6 Superfund Site in Parker, Pennsylvania, from the National Priorities List (NPL). The partial deletion would include approximately 6.5 acres from the former Tate Andale Property, known as the "Administrative Parcel." No other portions of the North Penn Area 6 Site will be deleted. EPA requests comments on this partial deletion. EPA and the State have determined that all appropriate Fund-financed responses under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), as amended, have been implemented and that no further cleanup actions are appropriate at the Administrative Parcel. Moreover, EPA and the State have determined that remedial actions conducted at the Administrative Parcel, to date, have been protective of public health, welfare, and the environment. However, this partial deletion does not preclude future actions under Superfund. The public is invited to comment on the proposed decision to delete the Administrative Parcel portion of this site from the NPL. The public comment period begins on December 23, 2016, and extends for 30 days.

Documents used to support this proposed decision can be found on-line.
