EPA's Office of Multimedia is a full-service production shop. Through graphics, photography and video, we hope to keep viewers informed and up to date on the latest agency activities and messages. Reporters can review the options below for how to obtain stock footage from the library, potentially arrange live video/audio feeds, and/or set up an on camera interview.

Video

Obtain video from EPA news events or stock library

The EPA video archive containing thousands of videos dates back to 1972 and is housed at the National Archives. Please contact them directly for access to historic footage.

EPA maintains an in-house archive of up to two years' of material shot in HD format. Use keywords, and dates if available, to specify the footage you seek. Please also provide your deadline and preferred delivery format when making your request. Some of this footage is available in broadcast quality for immediate download on the EPA DVIDS channel: www.dvidshub.net/usepa

Use EPA Studio One to conduct live/recorded video interviews

Requests to interview an EPA expert or official should be made through the Office of Media Relations. To find an appropriate press officer covering your story topic, visit epa.gov/press or call the main press line at 202-564-4355. More information about the studio facilities, equipment and capabilities are available upon request. 

Receive a live interview feed via Verizon's Audio/Video Operations Center (AVOC)

EPA Studio One maintains fiber connections with Verizon's AVOC. Our distribution amp can be connected to those located at the AVOC. The feed is available for Verizon’s cost of your connection to our distribution amp. Requests should be made through the Office of Media Relations. To find an appropriate press officer covering your story topic, visit epa.gov/press or call the main press line at 202-564-4355. 

Receive a live A/V broadcast feed from a press event (when available) via Verizon's AVOC

Special press events may be transmitted live via our fiber connection with Verizon's AVOC. Our distribution amp at Verizon can be connected quickly to anyone located at the AVOC. The feed is available for Verizon’s cost of your connection to our distribution amp. If your network is already connected to our DA, look for notification of our intent to broadcast on EPA press advisory releases prior to each event.

Establish a full-time AVOC connection with EPA 

EPA Studio One will work to accommodate requests for connections but please plan ahead. DA slots are available on a first come first serve basis for the cost of your connection.

Use EPA Studio Two to conduct live/recorded audio interviews

Live audio feeds from EPA press events at EPA headquarters 

In most cases, EPA will establish telephone conference lines for radio and other news journalists per event. Look for notification of availability on EPA press advisory releases prior to each event for the call-in number.
