EPA and Partners Lend a Green Hand to North Gulfport Middle School Students

ATLANTA - Representatives from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) together with the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) and the Land Trust for Mississippi Coastal Plan will present experiential environmental learning opportunities for eight grade students at North Gulfport Middle School on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2015, beginning at 9 a.m.

Principal Regina Lewis will open the program and give an overview of the day. Students will then break into small groups and rotate among stations featuring green, hands-on experiences. The activities have been carefully chosen to increase environmental literacy of the Gulf of Mexico, promote stewardship and support children's health.
