EPA and Oklahoma Officials Celebrate 50 years of Scientific Research and Development

DALLAS – (Aug. 1, 2016) The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Robert S. Kerr Environmental Research Center, recognizing a half-century of scientific excellence, and contributions to environmental research and technology. The ceremony will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at 919 Kerr Lab Research Dr., Ada, Okla. 74820. The event will provide a platform for discussing ground water issues and research in Central and Western United States.

The Robert S. Kerr Environmental Research Center houses the Ground Water and Ecosystems Restoration Division of the National Risk Management Research Laboratory in Ada, Okla. The office develops strategies and technologies to protect and restore ground water, surface water and ecosystems affected by human-made and natural events.  The lab is also first carbon-neutral facility.
