This document, released on March 1, 2016, represents the first ever report addressing the extent of nitrogen and phosphorus monitoring and discharge limits for major sewage treatment plants within the borders of the 12 states comprising the Hypoxia Task Force. These specific permit activities, along with other elements of the state nutrient reduction strategies, will continue progress toward reducing nitrogen and phosphorus pollution in the Mississippi/Atchafalaya River Basin.
