This policy establishes principles, responsibilities, and requirements for collecting and managing geospatial data. The purpose of the Procedure for Geospatial Metadata Management is to establish procedures to implement a data life cycle, as defined in the National Geospatial Data Policy (NGDP), for all geospatial metadata.
