Cleanup Status
EPA plans to collect groundwater samples in the summer 2014 to further assess both the groundwater and vapor intrusion pathways at the Facility. Current Human Health and Migration of Contaminated Groundwater Environmental Indicator Determinations will be made once this data is analyzed.

The South Taylor Environmental Park (STEP) is a landfill site part of which is designated and managed as wildlife habitat. United States Steel Corporation purchased the property in the early 1900s and has used it over the years for disposal of iron- and steelmaking byproducts.
