Site Description
The U.S. Army Research Laboratory (ARL) of the U.S. Army Research Development and Engineering Command (RDECOM) is the Army's corporate, or central, laboratory. The Adelphi Laboratory Center (ALC) is a 207-acre U.S. Army installation located in Prince George's and Montgomery counties and is home to the the Army Research Laboratory and the National Capital Region Information Operations Command. The installation's Garrison staff manages and operates 1.1 million square feet of gross floor area in 36 buildings on the installation that includes research and laboratory facilities, utility plants, maintenance yards, fabrication shops, and administrative complexes. The Garrison also manages the Blossom Point Research Facility in Charles County, a 1,600-acre testing range site for numerous military and government organizations.
