Cleanup Status
Cycle Chem, Inc. (CCI), is a Treatment Storage and Disposal facility which deals with hazardous waste and is located in Lewisberry, Pennsylvania. CCI has agreed to settle violations of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) hazardous waste regulations. The violations discovered during an EPA inspection include: relabeling Universal Waste as Residual Waste; failure to label all equipment subject to air emission standards; failure to cap open ended pipe and valves; an open container; and failure to update their financial assurance estimate for two years. The company agreed to pay a civil penalty and has returned to compliance.
EPA/state will visit the facility and meet with company representatives on an upcoming date. EPA/state is reviewing existing environmental information to determine if further investigation is required. EPA/State will focus first on the health and groundwater impacts, if any, presented by the facility. Once EPA/state completes this review process, an environmental indicator determination will be prepared and posted to this website.

Cycle Chem, Inc. owns and operates a RCRA Part B treatment, storage, and disposal facilities strategically located in Lewisberry, Pennsylvania. This facility is permitted to accept drum and bulk containers of hazardous and non hazardous waste of liquid, sludge, solid and gas.
