Cleanup Status

EPA/Pennsylvania will visit the facility and meet with company representatives on an upcoming date.  EPA/Pennsylvania is reviewing existing environmental information to determine if further investigation is required.  EPA/Pennsylvania will focus first on the health and groundwater impacts, if any, presented by the facility.  Once EPA/Pennsylvania completes this review process, an environmental indicator determination will be prepared and posted to this website.

Alcoa's Technical Center outside of Pittsburgh was founded in 1965 and is the firms largest research center focusing on light metals research center and employing over 600 people in a campus setting covering 2300 acres.
