Great Lakes Monitoring
During the spring and summer, EPA's research vessel the Lake Guardian is used to help scientists sample water, aquatic life, sediments and air. Data gathered shows trends in water quality and aquatic life. Researchers are then able to determine the overall health of the Great Lakes ecosytem.
