Update a registration for a fuel or fuel additive
Update a fuel registration
Follow these steps to update a fuel registration:
- Download Form 3520-12: Fuel Manufacturer Notification for Motor Vehicle Fuel
- Complete Items 1 through 5 of the form. In Item 2, check the "Registered Company" box. If any of the information for these items has changed, also submit a letter on company letterhead to that effect to: EPA Fuels Programs Mailing Addresses
- Complete other items as necessary. For example, the list of additives in Item 7 many need to be revised.
Update a fuel additive registration
Follow these steps to update a fuel additive registration:
- Download Form 3520-13: Fuel Additive Manufacturer Notification
- Complete Items 1 through 3 of the form. In Item 2, check the "Registered Company" box. If any of the information for these items has changed, also submit a letter on company letterhead to that effect to: EPA Fuels Programs Mailing Addresses
- Complete other items as necessary. For example, a minor change in additive composition would require revision of Item 7.
