Description: EPA's National Center for Environmental Research (NCER) and National Center for Environmental Economics (NCEE) are sponsoring a one-day workshop to discuss research being conducted on market mechanisms and incentives. This workshop, to be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Resources for the Future (RFF) in Washington, DC, will present research results from EPA Science to Achieve Results (STAR) grants, RFF, and universities. There will be presentations on the use of market mechanisms and incentives in the areas of fuel economy, water quality, land use and the distributional consequences of using market incentives. There will also be a panel discussion on the role of market mechanisms and incentives to climate change. This meeting is open to all who are interested in this research area.
