Executive Orders
Executive Order 13693, Planning for Federal Sustainability in the Next Decade, was signed by President Obama on March 19, 2015. The goal of EO 13693 is to maintain Federal leadership in sustainability and greenhouse gas emission reductions. Section 16 of this EO revoked the following: Executive Order 13423 of January 24, 2007; and Executive Order 13514 of October 5, 2009.

Environmental Policies
The Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency provides a regular progress update and written commitment to maintaining environmental management systems within the Agency and all of its facilities. Additionally, each of the EPA facilities develop individual environmental policies that can be found on the EPA Facilities EMS pages begining with Headquarters and Regional Offices.
Resources
Greening EPA - The agency implements a range of strategies to reduce the environmental impact of our facilities and operations, from building new, high-performance structures to improving energy and water conservation of existing buildings.
The Council on Environmental Quality coordinates federal environmental efforts and works closely with agencies and other White House offices in the development of environmental policies and initiatives.
FedCenter is a joint initiative of EPA's Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (OECA), the Army Corps of Engineers' Construction Engineering Research Laboratory, and the Office of Federal Sustainability (formerly the Office of the Federal Environmental Executive) to create an all-services technical and compliance assistance center to help federal environmental officials, especially those in the civilian sector, better address their environmental needs.
Under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) and the Pollution Prevention Act, EPA evaluates potential risks from new and existing chemicals and finds ways to prevent or reduce pollution before it gets into the environment.
