| SRS Direct Link Guidance | SRS Direct Link enables a user to click a hyperlink which opens specific screens in the Substance Registry Services (SRS). For example, a user viewing information about benzene could click a hyperlink that would open the benzene Substance Details screen in SRS. | Single Substance Request | This Web service enables Exchange Network partners to retrieve the full complement of SRS information about a substance. The service invokes a series of predefined information request functions that return information in XML format synchronously (i.e., the Exchange Network partner waits for the results to be returned). | Substance List Request | This Web service enables Exchange Network partners to pull lists of substances asynchronously from SRS. These lists may be substances identified in a section of an environmental statute or they may be substances for which there is data in an EPA system. Other lists may be for substances in data systems owned by state or federal agencies or for international organizations. | Tribal Identification (TRIBES) |
This Web service enables Exchange Network partners to access and use standardized information related to federally recognized American Indian and Alaska Native tribal entities. Tribal names and codes for the flow come from the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA). The flow also includes a unique EPA identifier to address issues that arise when tribe names change. EPA intends this data flow to be available inside the Agency, as well as to EPA Regions, States, local governments, and other approved organizations requiring tribal information. The TRIBES Web services Exitare intended to support implementation of EPA’s Tribal ID Data Standard. The Tribal ID data standard specifies incorporation of BIA Tribal names and BIA Tribal codes into Agency and partner information systems. |
