On November 8, 2016 from 3-4 (EST) the CRN will be hosting a public facing webinar, Resilient Design Case Studies from the College-Underserved Community Partnership Program (CUPP). The webinar will provide an overview of the work conducted in Midway, Georgia, and Flint, Michigan, where community-university partnerships that the Agency is involved in helped to address community concerns through resilient design.
The College-Underserved Community Partnership Program (CUPP) model addresses critical challenges that communities face, such as community sustainability, deteriorating infrastructure, children’s health, and environmental justice. This webinar will look at how the CUPP model successfully implemented elements of resilient design in the case studies of Savannah State University and the City of Midway, Georgia and the work that is currently underway in Flint, Michigan, to address the challenges associated with the City’s deteriorating drinking water infrastructure. See attached for more details.
