EPA has received many questions about implementing the final CCR disposal rule. The Agency is developing responses to these questions and will be posting them to this web area periodically.

The questions and responses are organized into categories similar to the sections of the CCR regulatory requirements such as scope and purpose, definitions, location restrictions and groundwater monitoring, corrective action, etc.

The first set of questions being posted focus on the following areas:

• Scope and purpose
• Beneficial use
• Effective date
• Applicability of other regulations (including tribal issues) 
• Definitions
• Locations restrictions
• Design criteria
• Groundwater monitoring and corrective action
• Implementation and solid waste management plans
