Climate Leadership webinar on GHG Reduction Goal Setting

Building on our previous webinars on the topic of What is Climate Leadership, two guest speakers – 2013 Climate Leadership Award winners in the greenhouse gas (GHG) Management/Goal Setting category – shared examples of best practices, lessons learned, and challenges faced in their Goal Setting work. We discussed why setting GHG reduction goals is significant and its relevance in Climate Leadership. We also covered components of a credible GHG reduction strategy, what makes a strong goal, determining aggressive goals, and a brief review of methods/criteria for evaluation of goals.

The webinar was for organizations at various stages of GHG management experience who are interested in setting an initial GHG reduction goal or improving upon their existing goal-setting approach.

Guest Speakers:

  • Peggy Kellen, Director of Policy, The Climate Registry
  • Maribeth Malloy, Director for Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) Strategy, Policy and Advocacy, Lockheed Martin Corporation
