EPA/NIEHS Children’s Environmental Health and Disease Research Centers  Research to increase understanding how environmental factors affect children’s health and promote translation of basic research findings into intervention and prevention methods to prevent adverse health outcomes.
ATSDR; Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics Pediatric Environmental Specialty Units (http://www.pehsu.net/Exit) Ten specialty units across the U.S. that are a source of medical information and advice on environmental conditions that influence children’s health.
DHHS, DoD, ED Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee Coordinate efforts within DHHS concerning autism spectrum disorder. The primary mission is to provide advice to the Secretary of DHHS on matters concerning autism spectrum disorder and to facilitate the efficient and effective exchange of information on autism activities among the member agencies in order to enhance coordination of autism-related programs and activities
CDC National Birth Defects Prevention Study (http://www.nbdps.org/ Exit) Population-based, case-control study examining the causes of birth defects.
NIH/National Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities STAR Centers of Excellence of Environment and Health Disparities  Networks of excellence in health disparities research to achieve a better under- standing of the complex interactions of biological, social and environmental determinants of population health.
DHHS, FDA, Health Resources and Services Administration, NIH, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health, HUD, DOJ, and DOT Interagency Asthma Disparities Workgroup (part of the President’s Task Force on Environmental Health Risks and Safety Risks to Children) Workgroup with the goal of reducing the burden caused by asthma, particularly among minority children and children with family incomes below the poverty level.
