EPA is announcing the availability of funding to eligible entities who wish to develop an area-wide plan for Brownfields assessment, cleanup, and subsequent reuse. This funding is for community engagement, planning, inventory of brownfields properties, technical assistance, and/or training activities directed to revitalization of a specific area (such as a neighborhood, district, local commercial corridor, community waterfront or city block). Targeted Brownfields Assessment (TBA) is a free service the EPA Region 6 Brownfields Team provides to communities to support their eligible brownfields projects. Region 6 consists of Arkansas, Louisiana, new Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. The services include brownfields inventories, area-wide planning, site environmental assessments and investigations, and site cleanup planning.
